The following are minimum
vehicle requirements you will, as a club member or visitor, be expected to
abide by for YOUR SAFETY and the SAFETY OF OTHERS.
BRAKES – Must be able to stall engine when idling in 2nd
gear (1st gear if 3 speed)
PARKING
BRAKE – Must be able to stall
engine when idling in 3rd gear (2nd gear if 3 speed)
LIGHTS – All lights must be functioning properly.(If vehicle is Off Road use only,
minimum brake and head lights must function.)
TIRES – All tires, including spare, must have at least
2/32” of tread.Spare tire must be
fully inflated.Air down to a
maximum of 15 psi prior to safety inspection.
ROLL
BAR – Any open vehicle must have
a roll bar firmly attached to the vehicle.
SEAT
BELTS – Required for driver and
each passenger.
FIRE
EXTINGUISHER – Must show full
charge on gauge and/or have seal intact.
FIRST
AID KIT – Minimum contents; band
aids, alcohol and/or alcohol wipes, gauze, medical tape.Recommended contents; all the above,
smelling salts, small and medium splint, CPR mask, small/medium/&
large gauze pads.
ANTENNA
LENGTH – Not longer than 54”,
unless both ends are firmly attached to the vehicle.
WINDSHIELD – No dangerous cracks.
WIPERS – Operational.
HORN – Operational.
EXHAUST
SYSTEM – Must be intact.NO OPEN EXHAUST!
STEERING – Check play in wheel, condition or column and
mounting hardware, and knuckle arms.
HOSES
& LINES – No excessive
leaks, frays, or dry rot. (Water, fuel, and brake lines)
VEHICLE
JACK – High Lift type
recommended.
TOW
STRAP or ROPE – Minimum rating
of two time (2x) the vehicles GVRW.NO CHAINS or SINCHED METAL CABLE.
WINCH – If vehicle is equipped with a winch using
metal cable, a winch weight is required.Standard recovery equipment is encouraged (snatch block, D-rings,
tree saver strap, etc.)
